We are not Scientology.
We are not Christian Science.
We are Religious Science.
Religious Science was founded in 1926 by Dr. Ernest Holmes. The teachings are called the Science of Mind. Religious Science exists to facilitate the reawakening of each individual's awareness of the higher self.
Each Church or Center of Religious Science, has Sunday services, Science of Mind classes, seminars and individual counseling, and provides a supportive environment enabling all who desire to discover the truth about themselves and the Spiritual Universe in which they live.
Religious Science is not in opposition to any religious belief or philosophy. Rather, it seeks to bring to light the thread of Truth which exists in all religions.
We recognize that each individual is on a path to his own fulfillment and must be guided by his own inner voice. We offer practical and definite methods with which each individual can create positive life changes. Among the benefits of the teachings of Religious Science is the understanding of affirmative prayer or spiritual mind healing. We call it Spiritual Mind Treatment.
In summary, Religious Science offers healing, spiritual understanding and an opportunity to experience greater love, greater joy and greater life expression.
In the words of Dr. Ernest Holmes, "THERE IS A POWER FOR GOOD IN THE UNIVERSE, GREATER THAN YOU ARE AND YOU CAN USE IT!"
Dr. Holmes also wrote:
Science of Mind is not a “get-rich-quick” scheme, neither does it promise something for nothing. It does, however, promise the one who will comply with its teachings that he shall be able to bring greater possibilities and happier conditions into his experience.
We are a group of people who believe in a truth, which we are endeavoring to prove. What is it? It is that God is all there is, not up in the sky but right here.
Science of Mind in its broadest and truest sense includes all there is in science, religion, and philosophy. Science of Mind is not a personal opinion, nor is it a special revelation. It is the result of the best thought of the ages. It borrows much of its light from others, but in so doing does not rob anyone, for Truth is universal and never personal. We need the entire revelation of the whole world, and even with this we shall have little enough. |
