Los Angeles Center of Religious Science (LACRS) was incorporated in 1989 and is affiliated with Religious Science International, an organization of 126 churches all over the world.

Dr. David J. Walker is its founding pastor. We are a Science of Mind Learning Center; therefore, we are a teaching organization. What do we teach? Life Principles which, when used constructively, create a happier, healthier experience of life. This Principle can be used by anyone, and many have proven its reliability.

Our wonderful Sunday services and weekday Science of Mind classes provide ongoing instruction and inspiration.

We have a League of Practitioners that anyone can consult for assistance in securing greater good.

Special arrangements can be made for the following ceremonies:

 Pastoral counseling
 Weddings
 Funerals
 Memorials
 Child Naming

Please call the LACRS office at (323) 852-9055 for more information.

YOU ARE COMPLETE NOW

Judge Thomas Troward believed that all people are complete, regardless of what they want to add or subtract from their lives, because all people individualize Spirit.  In his book, The Hidden Power, Troward tells us that if we don’t start out with an acceptance of our completeness, we will never know “the highest and the best that mental science has to offer.”

Everything in our lives is the result of, the degree to which we accept the great Truth, that we are the point at which, Spirit lives, moves and has Its being. Another way of saying it is that each individual, is the point at which completeness exists, waiting to be recognized by that individual. It’s great when other people recognize our completeness, but Enlightenment happens when we recognize it.

Most people think that life will become complete when certain requirements have been fulfilled. This kind of thinking puts completeness last, rather than first, where it belongs. People assume that their lives will be complete when they meet their other half, or when their children are married and have children of their own, or when they have amassed enough money to get them through retirement. What these people don’t realize, is that life is complete now! And it is out of this completeness, that all these experiences can be created.

The Enlightened person doesn’t create to become complete, but instead uses their completeness to experience their creativity. See the difference?

No relationship has the power to make you complete, nor does any amount of money, for your completeness is not negotiable. It cannot be won and it cannot be lost.  It is part of parcel of your Divine nature, and you either approach what you want to add or subtract from your life with your completeness, or proceed hoping that what you add to, or subtract from your life, will make you complete.

“But,” you may say, “when I finally demonstrated what I was working on, I felt so complete.” If we end up feeling complete, it can only be because we started out being complete and we were just waiting for a reason to let ourselves know it and feel it. This isn’t wrong, it just doesn’t lend itself to “the highest and the best that mental science has to offer.”

If you want the best that mental science has to offer, don’t postpone accepting your completeness for one more moment. You will never be more spiritual than you are right now, more perfect than you are right now, or more complete than you are right now. Why not accept the sum total of what you are, and proceed to use it, to experience your creativity. You were born to do both. You are the Enlightened One!

AFFIRMATIVE SELF TALK:

I am complete this very moment, and though I am busy using my mind to create wonderful experiences for myself, none of these experiences have the power to make me something I already am . . .  complete.  I am complete and I know it.

And so it is.

Have a healthy, happy, and complete day

Love and respect,

Dr. David J. Walker
