What Can Religious Science Do For You?
Introduction
There is a power for good in the universe that is available to everyone. Religious Science is a way of life and thinking that helps people realize their true nature and fulfill their individual goals in life.
Very simply, we believe that the universe is fundamentally spiritual-- it has intelligence, purpose, beauty and order. Whether we call it God, nature, spirit, energy or universal intelligence, we believe this universal intelligence is within us as well as around us, and that we can become conscious of it.
Religious Science is not a closed system of thought. It grows continually as humankind evolves, drawing on the frontiers of knowledge as well as the wisdom of the ages. It can be approached as a science, a philosophy and a religion.
As a science, it is based on specific principles that have been verified by many of the world's leading scientists. Scientific knowledge is applied through individually tailored techniques to expand people's thinking and, as a result, their experiences.
As a philosophy, Religious Science is a down-to-earth, easily applied way of thinking about the nature of the universe and our relationship to it. When we understand ourselves as both creations and co-creators of the universe, we are free to express the unlimited potential within us. What we ultimately realize is that our experiences are not as important as our reaction to them.
As a religion, Religious Science is a metaphysical expression of universal truths revealed in many world religions. Free of concepts subject to doubt, speculation, and superstition, it appeals to reason and is straightforward in its approach.
What Can Religious Science Do For You?
The answer to this questions is that Religious
Science teaches you what you can do for you. That
you, as a divine being, can become master of your destiny. This way
of thinking will bring you a better way of living. Once you realize
your own true nature, you will find that health, abundance, harmonious
relationships, success, creative activity, love and peace are all
fundamental parts of you.
"To learn how to think is to learn
how to live..."
Realization of one's own divinity is, most often, a gradual and continually
unfolding process. To help people make this realization, Religious
Science uses a two-part approach: teaching and healing. The teaching
involves the presentation of universal ideas of truth and how to use
them. Through their application, the healing process takes place and
becomes tangible by changing your life. As you witness these changes,
your faith grows naturally.

The Organization
Religious Science International (RSI) is
a mutual association of individual churches throughout the world that
have joined together in a united effort to teach the principles of a
metaphysical thought system called Science of Mind.
Incorporated in 1949 as the International
Association of Religious Science Churches (IARSC), the Universal Church
Organization was founded by Dr. Ernest Holmes, who began his metaphysical
teachings in 1917.
"Anything that will enable us to express greater
life,
greater happiness, greater power
-- so long as it does not harm anyone
--
must be the will of God for us."
Believing that true spiritual unity can most
effectively be manifested in a spiritual democracy, the organization
is governed as such. Religious Science International holds an annual
Congress, at which every church is represented. It is administered by
a Board of Directors elected by the Congress. Each church within the
organization operates autonomously, but subscribes and is subject to
by-laws approved by the Board of Directors' annual RSI congress.
Religious Science International establishes educational policies, provides accredited
instructional courses and conducts post graduate programs for ministers.
In addition to Sunday morning services and
personal counseling, local churches offer classes, workshops and many
other activities for members.
The organization publishes the monthly magazine, Creative Thought, and conducts special seminars in this country
and abroad, and deals with basic human needs.
"The possibilities of the Law
are infinite,
and our possibilities of
using it are limitless."
If you desire greater fulfillment in your
life, you are most cordially invited to further explore the meaning
Religious Science may have for you. Visitors are welcome at any local
church and many regional and national gatherings.
